About Us

Mr. Dante' L. Jelks began his journey of becoming one of the most dedicated and experienced funeral directors and embalmers when he was just a little boy. His passion for the funeral home business was nurtured by two funeral home owners- his cousin and godfather. He graduated from Emma Sansom High School in Gadsden, Alabama, and furthered his education at Stillman College. It was at Stillman that he received a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. Upon receiving his degree, Mr. Jelks went on to receive his funeral director and embalming certifications from Jefferson State Community College. He has managed funeral homes, served as an embalmer and worked as a funeral director throughout the state of Alabama. His dream of becoming a business owner was realized on April 19, 2013, when he opened Dante Jelks Funeral Home. He and his experienced staff have been providing exceptional service every since.
