Willie Weldon Thomas

Mr. Willie Weldon Thomas was born October 22, 1938, to the late Ms. Laura Thomas. He grew up in Collegeville and attended Birmingham City Schools.

He married the love of his life Audrey Strickland on November 4, 1957. From this union, they became parents to four loving sons.

Willie symbolized his dedication to Jehovah God by water baptism in January 1988. His faith remained intact even during his failing health. He served as a ministerial servant for many years in the Greenwood Congregation.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife: Audrey Strickland Thomas; five sons: Victor B. Hayes, Willie R. Thomas, Darryl Thomas, Dwayne L. Thomas (Darlene) all of Birmingham, Alabama, and Eric F. Thomas of Houston, Texas; one daughter: Dwana (Barnes) of Atlanta, Georgia; fourteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grands; two sisters-in-law: Margaret (Mike) Leek, Georgia and Jennifer (Ervin); one brother-in-law: Roland C. (Roberta) Strickland, Seattle, Washington; and a host of nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.
