Mr. Willie James Bell was born April 20, 1944, to the late Ms. Pearline Bell and the late Mr. Charles Brown of Sumterville, Alabama.
At an early age, when his family moved to Panola, Alabama. He later moved to Panola, Alabama.
He worked at R. C. Cola Company and was a Cast Iron Pourer for Jefferson Foundry.
Willie met and married his wife Frances Mitchell in 1967, and were together for 54 years. To this union, five children were born.
He leaves to cherish his memories, a loving and devoted wife: Frances Mitchell Bell; three sons: Oscar (Tanay) Bell of York, Alabama, Willie Bell, Jr., and Travares; a special grandson: D'Undrea (Bianca Morgan) Bell; three daughters: Aretha (William) Harrison, Tracie Bell (Gregory Walker), and was preceded in death by his daughter Teretha Bell; grandsons:Jerel Bell, QuaDarrius Bell, Isaac, and Willie Bell; granddaughters: Tayanna (Ricky) McKenzie, Shalisa (Mykeel) Goodwin, Ferlandria (Cardarius) Pope and Asia (Joshua Tate) Parker; a host of great-grandchildren; one brother: John (Gwen) Davis of Panola, Alabama; three sisters: Mrs. Mary Alice Gross of St. Louis, Missouri and Mrs. Susie Lee (Earlie) Bryant of Chicago, Illinois, and was preceded in death by his sister Mrs. Irene Kirkland of Panola, Alabama; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Mr. Leroy Mitchell, Mr. Moses (Mary) Mitchell, Mr. Oliver (Geraldine) Brooks and Mr. William Lewis, all of Birmingham, Alabama; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
