Mr. Travis Lamont McClendon was born May 9, 1977, to Mr. Leandra McClendon, Jr. and Mrs. Natalie Bonner McClendon.
He departed this life on September 24, 2020, at Grandview Hospital with his loving wife by his side.
Travis was a graduate of Leeds High School, he went on to attend Jacksonville State University.
Later in life Travis met Sanquetta Harris, daughter of Willie and Sandra Harris, and they married in 2002. To this marriage two lovely kids were born Travis McClendon, Jr. and Kyndall Grace McClendon and a beloved bonus son Trevor McClendon.
Travis confessed Christ at an early age and joined the Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Rev. Cleo Clark. Travis served in the capacity of an Usher. He later moved his membership to Guiding Light Church where he served faithfully as an Usher. He later became a member of Church of the Highlands where he served as a Greeter on the Greeting Committee and served in the community.
Travis was employed at Acipco Pipe in Birmingham, Alabama, for 15 years as an Ultra-Sonic Technician. He was a dedicated employee until his health failed him three months prior to his passing.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory, a loving and devoted wife: Sanquetta Harris McClendon; three children: Trevor McClendon, Travis McClendon, Jr., and Kyndall Grace McClendon; a loving Father and Mother: Leandra McClendon, Sr. and Natalie McClendon; a loving Brother: Leandra (Selena) McClendon, Jr.; a loving Father-in-law and Mother-in-law: Mr. Willie and Sandra Harris; Niece: Seymone; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends in Atlanta.
