Tony Lee Ellis

Tony Lee Ellis was born on January 13, 1959, in Homewood, Alabama, to Charlie B. Gates and Authur Lee Ellis.

He graduated from Homewood High School. Tony later went on to attend college in Texas, where he played basketball. 

Tony worked for USA Concrete for 10 years and Kirkpatrick Concrete, both located in Birmingham, Alabama. 

He passed away on October 10, 2020 at UAB Hospital, Birmingham, Alabama. 

Tony is preceded in death by his mother Charlie B. Gates, his father Authur Lee Ellis, as well as his brother Authur Wayne Ellis. 

He leaves to celebrate his homegoing, his wife: Mary Ann Maiden-Ellis, Bessemer, Alabama; his sister: Eva Ndukwe, Birmingham, Alabama; stepchildren: Jeremy Maiden, Birmingham, Alabama, Shala Hardy (Carl Hardy, Jr.), Trussville, Alabama, Maurice Maiden, Birmingham, Alabama, and April Grady, Pelham, Alabama; a host of other relatives and friends.
