Ronnie Neil Holston Sr. was born April 29, 1955, to Mr. Clarence ‘Buddy’ Holston and Mrs. Bernice Williams Holston at Holy Family Hospital in Birmingham, AL. He was the first son and made them proud each day of their lives. Ronnie lived his life with a spirit of love and kindness always smiling and willing to be a helping hand to all.
He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord as his personal Savior at a young age and attended Mt. View Baptist Church in Margaret, AL where he served until his last days. Ronnie and his family enjoyed praising the Lord with their beautiful voices and numerous musical gifts and talents which were perfected under our grandmother Mrs. Tressie Washington every moment she had with here.
Ronnie was educated in St. Clair County High School in Odenville, AL with a love of mathematics and Graduated in the May 1,1975. He went on to work faithfully and share his time with his beloved spouse and family who loved him with all their heart as he loved them.
He is preceded in life by his parents: Mr. Clarence ‘Buddy’ Holston and Mrs. Tressie B. Washington. He met and spent the last 27 years with the love of his life Patricia Merchant the love they share is immeasurable. He leaves his caring son Ronnie (Dashannikia) Holston Jr. grandchildren: Reyna Harris, Kherington Holston, and Kyleigh Holston of Birmingham, AL. His jewel of a daughter Krystle (Victor Perez) Daniels, grandchildren Kelvin Poe, Christine Poe, and Carleena Davis of Birmingham, AL. He leaves his loving siblings Sandra (Jerome) Patton of Margaret, AL, Vickie Holston of Leeds, Al, Gale (Percy) Moore of Irondale, AL, Constance (Glenda) McIntire of Leeds, AL, Fannie(Fred) Jackson of Toledo, OH, Michael Holston of Irondale, AL. with a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and coworkers all who shared his love and kindness at all times.
Dad- Our lives would not be without you; we will always be grateful and respect the fact that you will always be our father. The love has always been known in the good times and the bad. If we needed you, you always would come through even if you were not able you made a way. God places people in your life for his purpose and he placed you in mine and Krystle’s to show us that living a kind, loving, peaceful life regardless of what life gives you the way God wants pleases Him. No doubt in my mind and heart he is please the life you lived. Thank you for being the best version of you. Rest in eternal peace until we meet you in paradise Daddy, Love Ronnie Jr., and Krystle.
