Pastor Myrtle J. Bryant was born June 5, 1931, to the late Udolphus and Joanna Woods in Crenshaw County, Alabama.
January 22, 1947, she united in Holy Matrimony to the late Deacon Karo Bryant. To this union six daughters were born.
She confessed Christ at an early age and began her ministry July 1959. In 1961, she opened her own church, The Glorious Holy Mountain Church where she pastored for over 50 years.
She leaves to cherish her memories six daughters: Margarie Tubbs, Mary Ann Irby, Jewellene McKinney (Arthur Sr.), Carol Redwine (Shedric) and Shara Postell; one sister: Mary Jane White; a host of grandchildren, greats, and great, great grandchildren; nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by: Her parents, Udolphus and Joanna Woods; loving and devoted husband Deacon Karo Bryant; sister, Johnnie Mae Washington; brothers, Joe and Hubert Woods; daughter, Ola Lake; granddaughter, Margaret Ann Davison and great granddaughter, Margarie Davison.
