Lorine (Starks) Williams

Lorine S. Williams was born June 6, 1956, to Mr. Leman Starks and Mrs. Emma L. Starks. She was the apple of her parent’s eyes and made them proud daily.

She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior and her faith never waivered. In her sick days, she recited scripture and thanked God for the opportunity to praise Him. She valued every day and lived it as though it were her last.

Lorine was educated in the Birmingham City School System. She attended summer school to catch up and graduate with her class, her sisters thought it was funny. But, she graduated from John Herbet Phillips High School.

She met her first husband Lamar J. Williams Sr. in 1979. A year later she had her first son Lamar J. Williams Jr. (Rico). She worked at Sears Roebuck as a brake specialist during the day and was also a professional baker at Bruno’s Inc. Lorine was a hard working woman and a really smart woman. In 1991, she had another son who name was Jonathan J. Threat. From thereon she raised both of her sons and worked hard. She really loved her siblings and would do anything for her family. 

She leaves to cherish her memories with all of her siblings, her sons: Lamar J Williams Jr. (Rico),( Shandrika Williams) and Jonathan J Threat (Jon-Jon); her grandchildren: Katelynn Thomas, Troy Poche, Malik Lopez, La’Maya Williams, Naimah Williams, LaNia Threat; one great-grandchild: Malik Lopez Jr.; a whole ton of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
