Johnny Lee Parnell, Sr.

Johnny Lee Parnell, Sr. was born September 7, 1938, to Mr. William Parnell and Mrs. Ella Kelly Parnell, in Selma, Alabama, and later moved to Birmingham as a child. 

He was married in 1961 to Minnie Henderson and to that union three children were born, Constance, Melissa and Johnny, Jr.

Johnny was preceded in death by his parents Will and Ella C. Parnell, brother Anthony Parnell, his beautiful and loving wife of 30+ years Minnie Parnell, and daughter Constance D. Parnell.

He is survived by his daughter: Melissa Webb (Jimmie); son: Johnny Parnell, Jr. (JoAnn); sister: Millie Grant; five grandchildren: Sharnise, Joi, Nicole, Sharquita, and Angelica; four great-grandchildren: Tavaris "T-Man", Malachi, Tamia, Dezarriah, and Tristan "Bambam"; niece: Sonja "Baby girl"; nephews: Edwin and Kevin; and many cousins, relatives and friends.
