Mr. Jermaine "Skeeter" Mitchell was born to the late Barbara Mitchell and Judge Tramell on July 12, 1973.
Jermaine became a member of Crumbey Bethel Primitive Baptist Church in Fairfield at an early age under the late Pastor Rickey Cox.
Jermaine attended the Fairfield High School and was a graduating member of the Class of 1991. He was a resident of Fairfield for 46 years. Jermaine was employed at Fairview Health and Rehabilitation Center, as well as the University of Alabama Hospital for numerous years. He was well known everyone because of his jokes and cracks. Jermaine will truly be missed.
He was preceded in death by both parents, brother Freeman Nelson, grandmother Josephine Nelson, stepfather Freeman Mitchell, and uncle James Nelson.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories, brothers: Kendrick (Sandra) Mitchell, Kelvin (Kathy) Mitchell, and Lambert (Deborah) Mitchell; loving nieces: Kimberly Ferlisha Hodge, Atlanta, GA, Quintessa Phillips, Courtney Bynum, Alexsis Broadnax, Amber and Emileigh McWilliams, Lakesa Bland, Dionna Clyde, Maryetta Mitchell all of Birmingham, AL, and Jalisa Cunningham of Alabaster, AL; nephews: Freeman Nelson, Jr., Kameron Korbin, Kendarus Mitchell of Birmingham, AL, Larry Gray of Fairfield, AL and Kalvin Mitchell, Jr. of Atlanta, GA; a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins and loving friends throughout his sickness: Treasure Williams, Letesha Blevins, Brenda Ervin, Telvin Autrey, Antwion Daniel and Courtney "Bay Bay" Graham; Godmothers: Dorothy (Dot) Dove, and JoAnn (Honey Bae) Cole. A special thanks to his caregiver, as well as sister-in-law, Deborah Mitchell, one aunt and one uncle.
