Janice Robinson Grubbs affectionally known as, "Jan Jan" was born on March 7, 1946, to Willie James Robinson, Sr. and Bernestine Cook Robinson in Birmingham, Alabama.
Janice professed her faith and accepted Christ at an early age and baptized at the New Peace Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. S. C. Chapman. She later united with the 46th Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Craig. She later joined the Greater Grace Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Carlos Williams, where she served on the Nurses Guild Ministry until her health declined.
Be thou faithful until death. She finished her course on Monday, November 2, 2020.
She was preceded in death by her father, Willie James Robinson, Sr., mother, Bernestine Robinson, brother, Willie James Robinson, Jr., her sister Joann Robinson Escott, and brother, Arthur James Robinson, Sr.
Janice received her formal education at Birmingham City Schools.
She was a dedicated employee at University Hospital as a Unit Secretary with over 29 years of service.
She leaves to cherish a devoted daughter, Bonita A. Robinson; honorary daughters, Sabrena Powell and Bridjette Ward; granddaughter, Shakara L. Robinson; special caregivers, Syllia White, Vivian McNair, and Dedra D. Robinson; her loyal and dedicated companion, Prescilla.
