James Jackson, Sr. Obituary

James Earl Jackson Sr., affectionately known as “Peanut” was born May 19, 1948, in Acmar, Alabama. 

James was educated in the Birmingham City School System and graduated from A.H. Parker High school where he excelled as baseball player. He worked at the Patio Lounge in Leeds, Alabama, for many years, where he was well known. He was known for his courage, strength, and easy manner.

He was preceded by his father, the late David Jackson, Sr.; his mother, the late Exie Lee Jackson; his wife, the late Mollie Ann Jackson, and his son, the late Orlando Earl Jackson.

He leaves to cherish his memory: Three sons: Juan (Monica) Jackson of Irondale, Al., Fernando (Helen) Jackson of Leeds, Al. and James Earl Jackson Jr. of Leeds Al; Four brothers and two sisters, Frederick Jackson of Birmingham, Al, Flora (Edwin) Patterson of Fairfield, Al, David Jackson Jr. of Birmingham, Al, Yvonne Fann of Birmingham, Al, Rickey (Chandrika) Jackson of Birmingham, Al, Larry (Willetta) Jackson of Brandon, MS.; Eight grandchildren, Tiffany Jackson-Hannon,  Reneisha Jackson, Angel Jackson, Micah Jackson, Nyah Jackson, Michael Harris Jr. Na’Tasha Wooten, Noreatha Davis; Great-grandchildren, Zayden Jackson and Za’riyah Wilson and a host of other great-grands, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relative.
