Isabella Ann Raines was the eldest child of the late Jack and Henrietta Carlisle Raines.  Isabella, also called Ann, Izzy, Baby Girl, Bella, Queen and Miss St. Mark, was a native and life-long resident of Birmingham born April 25, 1953.

Ann was a born again Christian with a steadfast faith in Jesus Christ as her Saviour and Lord. She  was a faithful and long-time member of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church, Titusville. Isabella could be heard on any given Sunday singing praises to our Lord and witnessing the truth being preached. Isabella loved Pastor Goins, Mrs. Goins and her church family.

Ann was trained at, and later served as an employee of, United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Birmingham, now known as United Ability. She worked in Graphics and Quality Control. She also appeared on television during the National Cerebral Palsy Telethon.

Isabella had the greatest times of her life when her large, extended family would gather together in Florida, Georgia, Marion, Tuskegee, Gadsden and Birmingham. She also enjoyed her outings to places of interest in the Birmingham area: Vulcan, The Civil Rights Museum, Kelly Ingram Park and The Birmingham Museum of Art.  Shopping, visiting neighborhood parks, Captain D’s and Arbys were also among things she enjoyed. Ann loved her family and people in general. She touched the lives of many, was loved and will be missed.

Isabella was preceded in death by her parents; sister-Pearlie Raines Vaughn; brother- Jerome Kyle Raines, Sr. and brother-in-law Freddie Vaughn.
