Helen Banks Obituary
Mrs. Helen Louise Jones Banks was born August 3, 1937, to the late Ms. Augusta Jones.
She confessed Christ at an early age at New Rising Star Baptist Church, Smith Hill under the leadership of Rev. Edward Huff.
She was educated in the West Blocton School System, where she met and later married Wiliard P. Banks. He preceded her in death.
Three sisters, Ms. Havanna Stobes, Ms. Beulah Jones and Ms. Lydia Jones Wright, one daughter Ms. Shelia Banks, one son Mr. Clarence Jones and one grandson Mr. Cedric Lennon preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memories one daughter: Ms. Alice Lennon of Bessemer, Alabama; one son: Mr. Roosevelt (Kimberly) Isom of Patterson, New Jersey; one favorite nephew: Mr. Luther Jones of Patterson, New Jersey; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters: Clara L (Willie) Green of Vero Beach, Florida and Arora Jones of Birmingham, Alabama; two brothers: Terry Jones of West Warwick, Rhode Island, and James Edward Jones of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A very special friend: Mr. Willie Hudson of West Blocton, Alabama.
