Gina Collett Goodman Williams was born to Rosetta and Elijah Goodman Sr. on December 13, 1955. She attended G. W. Carver High School (Birmingham, AL.). She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at an early age and attended church at Shady Grove Baptist Church, Birmingham, AL., where L. J. Rodgers was Pastor. She later attended Jesus Christ Assembly/Outreach Ministries, Birmingham, Al., under the leadership of the late Apostle David Woods and Apostle Wanda Woods.
On September 05, 1974, she married Alvin Williams, who was her loving, supportive husband for over 44 years. To their union one son was born, Deartrus, who made them proud daily.
On October 01, 2018, she surrendered his life peacefully over to God. She fought the good fight of faith and "“She Won" as a good soldier.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Rosetta Goodmon, father, Elijah Goodmon, Sr., bother, Julius Goodmon, grandmother, Julia Mae Owens, and grandfather, Elijah Sanders.
She leaves precious and cherished memories in the hearts of her entire family and many love ones: A loving husband: Alvin Williams; her devoted son: Deartrus (Latarrius) Goodmon; her siblings: Mary Jean (Samuel) Goodmon-McDaniel; Bobby Gunner; Daniel (Louise) Sledge; Wanda Goodmon-Woods; Elijah (Linda) Goodmon II; Essex (Janet) Goodmon; 1 uncle: Earl (Sandra) Owens; six grandchildren : Genise Evans; Deanita Diltz; Deartria Diltz; Deonica Diltz; Deanthony Diltz; Deartrus Goodmon, Jr.; her 8 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends which includes her 4 special friends: Cle, Yolanda, Denise, and Mary.
