Ernest Lynn White Sr. was born to the late Joel White Sr. and Leaver Lee White on December 31, 1947, in Birmingham, Alabama.
Ernest was employed at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama. He was a former long time employee of Ford Motor Company, Chrysler in Detroit Michigan and Dan’s Construction Company.
Ernest touched the lives of many with his great sense of humor and love for his family and friends. He served others and impacted all he came in contact with.
Ernest was baptized at Solomon's Temple (COOLJC) in Detroit, Michigan.
In 2003, Ernest relocated to Birmingham, AL, where he reconnected with and married his childhood friend, Syllia Lacey and together they adopted a daughter.
Ernest was faithful in helping his sisters to care for his mother until her transition.
His desire for a deeper relationship with the Lord lead him to join his oldest sister and her family in the body of Christ at New Life Church under the leadership of Pastor Barry Sutton where he served as a beloved Greeter.
Ernest attended the Birmingham Public Schools. As a child, he was a member of St. Paul A.M.E. Church.
As a young man, Ernest had relocated to Detroit Michigan with his twin sister "Verne" and his father, where he met and married Joyce Holiday. To that union two sons were born.
He was proceeded in death by his father, Joel White Sr., mother, Leaver Lee Wilson White; brothers - Joel, Anthony, Erkine, and Kenneth White; sisters Jennie Mable White, Thomasine Wallace and his granddaughter, Imani Alice White.
Ernest leaves to cherish his memories, a loving wife, Syllia White of Birmingham, AL; two sons , Ernest Lynn White Jr. (Shinia) Texas, Nakia Eugene White (Chevette) Michigan; daughter Terrika “Chelsea” Hartley of Birmingham AL; his sisters, Erma White Bennett, his twin sister, of Detroit Michigan, Leaver White Johnson (Tony), South Carolina, Kathy Abraham (Daniel) of South Carolina, Patience Isegrei-White (Joerg) of Albuquerque, New Mexico; great aunt, Ann Kelly of Cleveland Ohio, his grandchildren and a fond host of nieces, nephews and friends whom will miss him dearly.
