Dionne Michelle (Foster) Walker

Dionne Michelle Walker was born on January 27, 1972, in Athens, Alabama to Al Joseph Foster and the late Linda Faye Foster.  On October 8, 2011, she was united in holy matrimony to Muhammad Walker Jr.  Michelle passed away on January 25, 2020, in Stone Mountain, Georgia.  She confessed hope in Christ at an early age at Sardis Baptist Church in Birmingham, AL.

Michelle’s educational career included graduating from Huffman High School in Birmingham, AL and receiving her Bachelors of Science in Biology in 1995 from Alabama A&M University. She obtained a Master Degree in Public Health Administration from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN.

Michelle enjoyed a very promising career at the Veteran Administration in Birmingham, AL before transferring to the Veterans Administration in Stone Mountain, GA in order to advance her career as a Management Analyst.  Her passion for helping the veterans that came through her office for healthcare services was clearly on display each time she talked about them. 

Michelle and her husband, Muhammad Jr., loved to travel! They enjoyed many exciting trips before becoming parents to little Muhammad III.  As a mother, Michelle loved her role in her son’s life. It gave her so much joy watching him grow up into such a smart “little man”.  She shared many videos of his antics throughout his life because it delighted her so much just watching him play. Even as her health failed her, little Muhammad gave her the will to live to very end. Little Muhammad adored his mother and she absolutely adored him!

She was preceded her in death by her mother, Linda Faye Foster; grandparents, Jim Henry Green, John Foster Jr. and Bessie Foster.

She leaves to cherish her memory a loving husband, Muhammad Walker Jr.: sons: Muhammad Walker III and Jadan Moss; daughter: Jada Moss; grandchildren: London and Logan Moss; parents: Al (Gail) Foster; grandmother: Mary Louise Green; sister: Sonya (Myron) Monroe; brothers: Al Joseph Foster Jr., Kewin (Joy) Washington, Dedrick Pierce, Marlon Pierce, Dariese Pierce, Tyrese Pierce and Christian Foster: aunts: Maple Smiley and Jacquelene Reid; uncles: Ellis (Margie) Foster, Robert (Juandine) Foster, Derrick (Lisa) Foster, Ronald (Vickie) Foster and Jeffery Neealy; and a host other relatives and friends that loved her dearly.
