Sister Debra L. Williams was born on November 17, 1959, in Selma, Alabama, to Mrs. Rosie L. Van Horn and Rev. Johnny Shields.
She confessed Christ at an early age. She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church and later she united with Emanuel A.M.E. Church.
Debra was educated in the Birmingham School System. In her early years, she attended John Herbert Phillips High School.
She departed this life on March 7, 2018.
She leaves to cherish her memories, a devoted mother: Rosie L. Van Horn of Birmingham, Alabama; one brother: Alan L. Rice (Partheia) of Birmingham, Alabama; two sons: Randy R. Williams, Jr. and Brian K. Williams (Tiffany) of Birmingham, Alabama; one daughter: Santee J. Williams of Birmingham, Alabama; six grandchildren: Brianna, Antonio, Jaylen, Kaleb, Cardine and Brooklyn; six nieces and nephews: Deante, Nyesha, Shannon, Alanzandria, Alandriss and Alaysia; two uncles: Banks Jones, Jr., of Birmingham, Alabama, and Johnny Jones, of California; A special sister: Sandra P. Thomas; A special daughter: Katryce May; and a host of other relatives of Selma and Birmingham, Alabama, and friends.
