Clarasee Terrell was born September 24, 1930, in Newbern, Alabama, to the parents of Reboykin and Hannah Jackson. She was the youngest of 8 children. Upon completion of high school, she received her Bachelor of Science from Alabama A&M University, and Master of Education from Tuskegee University.
She was a caring, giving, and loving person. She was known to many as “Ms. Jackie.” She was a praying woman and would do anything she could to help others. She was loved by many and never a stranger to anyone. Her personality was always pleasant and kind. She was a lover of animals and cared for dogs most of her life.
She was a Biology professor at Miles College for many years. She loved her work and her students. She left Miles College to pursue a career in Medical Research at Roche Bio-Medical Lab, where she later retired.
Her legacy includes her daughters: Clarasee King and Geovonna Young; 7 grandchildren: Victor Terry (Terryce); Corey Robinson (Awafica); Priscilla Weaver (Chris); John Young (deceased); Crystal Nash (Dexter); David Young; Hannah Young; 8 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
