Charley Lee Bizzell was born on December 26, 1944 To Ollie and James McCommons. He was raised in a home with loving parents.
He accepted Christ at a young age as his personal Savior and his belief in God never waivered no matter how hard times became. Charley valued hard work and progress and encouraged others to work hard and to be successful.
His most favorite phrase to tell people was “Nothing comes to a sleeper but a dream”. Charley received his GED in his early twenties and went on to gain a trade as a Master painter. He worked as a painter for over forty years, a job that he put in a lot of passion and pride.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Ollie McCommons and James McCommons; his son, Charley Charles Davis; brothers, Eugene Williams and Robert Lee Williams; sisters, Bessie Mae Bizzell and Charlie Mae Bizzell.
He leaves behind two daughters, Teselena Downie, West Palm Beach, Florida, and Chernell Bizzell-Barnett (Felix Barnett III); three step-sons that he raised, Charlie Lee Woodson, Quincy Germaine Woodson, and Robert Eugene Woodson; brother, James McCommons, Jr.; sisters, Mary Williams, Faye McCommons-Moore and Lois McCommons. He also leaves behind eleven grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other precious relatives and loved ones.
