Charles Edward Carter

Mr. Charles Edward Carter was born November 11, 1935, to the  parents of Mr. Weldon and Mary E. Carter. He accepted Christ at an early age and joined the Coosa Valley Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. P. E. Kidd. Later on in life, he joined the Mount Olive Baptist Church under the leadership of the                Rev. Clarence Carter where he remained a faithful member until his illness. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers Mr. Willie James, Jimmy, Craig Carter and Earnest Ray Carter, and two sisters Ms. Mary John Carter and Mrs. Margret Ann Taylor.

He is survived by his wife: Elnora Carter; daughters: Phyllis (Sunny) Tuck and Janice Carter of Vincent, AL; grandchildren: Tavares (Chrissa) Posey of Pell City, AL, Tara Posey, Tasha Cross of Vincent, AL, Deque Carter of Ashville, AL, Roshanique (Reginald) McGinnis, Tevin Carter of Vincent, AL; seven great-grandchildren; four brothers: Rev. Clarence (Mary Sue) Carter of Vincent, AL, Mr. Jerry (Catherine) Carter of Childersburg, AL, Mr. Robert Odis of Bessemer, AL, and Mr. Freddy (Carolyn) Carter of Lathrop, CA; one sister: Mrs. Pauline McGinnis of Chuluota, FL; two sisters-in-law: Mrs. Alm Carter of Kymulga, AL and Mrs. Ada B. Carter of Vincent, AL; two special nephews: Clarence Conley Carter, Jr. and Mr. Eddie D. (Lutricia) McGraw of Vincent, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
