Chakeria Lashundra Hawkins was born on July 6, 1989, to Lisa G. Hawkins and Michael Patterson. She confessed hope in Christ at an early age. She became a member at New Mt. Olive, and later became a member of Refresh Family Church, under the leadership of Bishop Stephen A. Davis.
Chakeria received her education in the Birmingham City Schools System. She obtained a General Equivalency Diploma from Lawson State Community College and after, attended Fortis Institute. She was employed with Birmingham City, working at the Birmingham City Jail. She was an enthusiastic worker. She was also a loving and dedicated mother. She was full of life and joy and enjoyed to be around family.
On November 21, 2020, God wanted his child back home. Chakeria leaves to cherish her memories: a loving mother, Lisa G. Hawkins; father, Michael Patterson; three sons, Nichrien D. Smith, Jr., Nikylon D. Hawkins, and Nehemiah D. Hawkins; one sister, Alicia Hawkins; four brothers, Darius Bills, Christopher Bills, Corey Bills of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Monterius Gaines of Huntsville, Alabama; and a host of cousins, aunts, uncle, other relatives and friends.
