Arthur James Robinson, Sr.

Mr. Arthur James Robinson Sr. was born on Mother’s Day May 10,1952 to the union of Mr. Willie J. and Mrs. Bernestine Robinson. The third child of three siblings.

Arthur attended Patterson Elementary School and Carol W. Hayes High School class of 1970.

He was a retired locomotive engineer with Norfolk and Southern Railroad with over forty years of service. He received numerous awards for dedicated and safe service.

Arthur enjoyed basketball and college football. His favorite team was Auburn War Eagle!

A service of love and memories will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2020 from the Dante Jelks Funeral Home at 11:00, with burial in the Forest Hill Cemetery.

Precious memories will forever live in the hearts of his beloved wife, Lewanna Davis Robinson; daughter, Dedra; sons, Arthur James Jr. and Artavius Jerrell Robinson; grandchildren, Artajah and Artavius J. Robinson Jr; a loving aunt, Ms. Emma Lou Washington; a devoted cousin Joyce Sears; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
