William Eugene Solomon, Jr.

Mr. William Eugene Solomon, Jr. was born on September 17, 1953, to Mrs. Essie Mae Solomon and Mr. William E. Solomon, Sr. of Birmingham, Alabama.

William accepted Christ at an early age and joined Gaines Chapel AME Church.

William departed this life on December 31, 2019, at UAB Hospital, where he was surrounded by his family.

William graduated from A. H. Parker High School in 1971. William worked at Birmingham Country Club for 7 years. He worked at Quality Lawn Sprinklers for 10 years. He also worked at UAB where he retired.

William is joined in death by his parents Mrs. Essie Solomon and Mr. William E. Solomon, Sr., and his sister Melodie Smith.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 20 years: Nelsena E. Solomon; five loving children: Casemia Jones, Shameka Solomon, William E. Solomon, III, Wilshandria Solomon and Miccole Solomon; fifteen grandchildren; two brothers:John Solomon and Albert (Linda) Solomon; one sister: Lisa (Tony) Humphrey; and a host of other family and friends.
