Ms. Susie Mae Chambers Cross was born November 13, 1945, to Mr. Elijah Chambers, Sr. and Mrs. Rosa Lee Everson Chambers of Greensboro, Alabama.

She was a faithful member at Cathedral of of the Cross A. O. H. Church, under the leadership of Bishop Phillip Wright, her pastor. Susie was a minister that served well in her community as the "track lady" where she witnessed Christ to many. She also served as a minister in the Birmingham City Jail for five (5) years and also served as one with the Alabama Justice Ministries, Jail Ministry for twelve (12) years.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother: Mr. Elijah Chambers, Sr. and Mrs. Rosa Lee Chambers; and her brother: Elijah Chambers, Jr.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories, her four daughters: Angelia Ann Kennedy (Marcus), Felicia Ann Cheatam (Sidney), Birmingham, Alabama, Julianne Chambers, Lawrenceville, Georgia and Amelia Ann Cross, Chandler, Arizona; two sisters: Ms. Teresa Shields and Ms. Alma Chambers; one brother: Mr. Gary D.
