Mr. Stepp Anthony was one of six children born to Mr. Stepp and  Mrs. Willie Mae Abernathy on November 2, 1934 in St. Clair County.  He was a graduate of R.R. Moton High School and a member of Greater Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church of Leeds, AL.

On January 12, 2018, Stepp went home to be with the Lord.

Stepp  was preceded in death by his parents; Mr. and Mrs. Stepp and Willie Mae Abernathy, two brothers and two sisters. 

Stepp leaves to cherish his memories; wife, Marilyn K. Abernathy, sons; Daryl Abernathy (Quintessa), Derrick Abernathy (Sonya), Dennis Abernathy and Roderick Abernathy, daughters; Beverly Abernathy, Tarrilyn Abernathy and Stephanie Swain, brother; Thomas Abernathy (Mary), a host of grand children, great grandchildren, sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
