Her life race well run, Her life work well done, and now comes rest to Shirley Faye Pritchett.
Shirley Faye Pritchett was born on August 17,1950 to the late Edgar & Gennie Mae Pritchett. She was the youngest daughter. Her sister Alice Jean Tucker preceded her in death.
She accepted Christ as her Savior and joined Mt. Hebron Baptist Church. She recently joined New Beginnings United Methodist Church. She received her education through the Birmingham Public School System and also retired from Birmingham Public Schools working at Carver High School. Her Alma Mater.
She was affectionately called Mama and Grandma Shirley. She had the biggest heart and a smile to match. She was a joy to be around and known for her loving advice and soulful delicious cooking. Her chicken salad and macaroni and cheese were family favorites. On Sundays she would cook the biggest meals and everybody was welcome. Although she's known for her amazing cooking her overwhelming love for her family is what everyone will remember the most.
She leaves to cherish her love, life and precious memories, Special lifelong friend: Oliver Hinton, Jr; Daughters: Mashawn Pritchett (Rufus) and Zakiya Pritchett; Sons: Milton (Princess) Pritchett, Keith Pritchett, Byron Pritchett all of Birmingham, AL; Grandchildren: Shanitra, Lakitra, Lacretta, Arianna, Vedell, Ayanna, Shakila, Marcus, Bre, Ashley, Ambra, Kimora, Keith Jr., Byran, Nakiya, Kayla, Byron III, Brianna, Kelton and Jason; Goddaughter: LaToya Welch Sales; 18 Great Grandchildren; nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends who will remember Shirley's warmth and laughter. One grandson, Byron Pritchett, Jr. preceded her in death.
