Shamar Ramone Stanley was born in South Bend, Indiana on August 10, 1981 to Velma Harris and Marvin Stanley. God sent his angels to bring him to his eternal resting place on December 16, 2019.
Shamar accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized as a young father alongside his youngest son in 2015. He graduated from John Adams High in 2000 and went on to pursue a long career as a press brake operator in the metal fabrication industry.
Throughout his career, he has called several places home including Detroit, Michigan; Charlotte, North Carolina and Atlanta, Georgia. He enjoyed traveling, watching Notre Dame football and spending time with his children.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Harper-Rose Stanley, grandmothers Catherine Harris & Esther Stanley, grandfathers Van Harris & Joseph Stanley, god-grandmother Arthur Mae Barnes and step-grandmother Margaret Barnes.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving and devoted wife Jessica Stanley, children Shamar Stanley Jr., Aniya Stanley, Xavier Stanley; mother and father Velma and Marvin Stanley; brother Martell Harris; special cousins Bobby (Kim) Bailey, Antoine Harris and Tina Massey; Aunts Kim (Tim) Bowlin, Tresa Banks Ruskin, Maureen (Will) Spann, Lisa Barnes-Walker; Uncles Lonnie (Denise) Barnes, Jim (Freda) Harris, Lester (Sandra) Thomas, Robert (Tracy) Thomas and Alonso Stanley; close friends Rodney Hubbard, Jamil Jackson, Robert Jones, Ronald Newhouse and Noah Shelton; family dogs Charlotte and Chase, along with a host of other family and friends.
