Serah W Ngethe

Birth: The late Serah Wanjiku was born on 10th November 1957 in Karura village, Kikuyu division,Kiambu district. She was the daughter of the late James Kungu Thairu and Margaret Njeri Kungu. She was a sister to Eunice Nduta, Jidraph Thairu, Hannah Wangari, Lydia Njeri, Peter Gathagu, Marion Wambui and Amos Mbugua.

Education:

Serah Wanjiku attended Kibiku primary school and Kirangari High School.

Church:

She was a born again christian and a committed member of Anglican church of Kenya where she served as a mother's union member and Kirienye Anglican church treasurer. While here in the US, she was a committed member of House of Grace church.

Occupation:

Serah worked as a business woman in Kenya and in the education department here in the U.S.

Marriage:

Serah was married to Mr. Renson Ngethe Mungai on December 31st 1980 and was blessed with three children,  Carol Nduta, Francis Mungai, and James Kungu. She was also blessed with four grandchildren, Azaria ,skylar,Andrew and Emma.

Illness:

Serah started feeling unwell in September 2013. She was diagnosed with breast cancer which she battled till her death in April 22, 2019 at around 9am.

God gave us Serah and has taken her, may His name be glorified. Amen
