Sabrina Ann Crew-Dorsey was born on May 29th,1956 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the union of Betty Walker and Harold Crew.
Sabrina moved to the Bronx, New York and received a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree from The College of New Rochelle. She later served as a special education teacher in the New York City Public School System for over 10 years.
Sabrina enjoyed spending time with her family and was always considered the life of the party! She was the epitome of a phenomenal woman who valued education, family, and God. Being a woman of great faith, Sabrina would often reiterate to her children and grandchildren her favorite scripture Psalm 23 and the importance of having a prayer life. She also shared the saying “Love you, love me sister we will always be” with her younger sister Deborah Crew.
Sabrina departed this life on December 6, 2019. She now joins her loved ones that preceded her in death: her mother Betty Walker, her brothers Harold Crew Jr., Percell Crew, and William Crew, and her husband Charles Dorsey.
Sabrina is survived by her four daughters: Chantell Mays, Shalema Murray, Darlene Peterson, and Angela Murray; two sons: Troy Murray and Robert Murray; two sisters: Deborah Crew and Vanetta Crew; six brothers: Noah Lindsey, Tyrone Lindsey, Silburn Smith, Rickey Sherron, Antonio Crew, and Donald Crew; nine grandchildren: Diara Livingston,Quayshanae Peterson, Brianna Yarbrough, Tyler Mays, Kaori Mays, Marvin Yarbrough Jr, Tyrese Peterson, Sydni Mays, Ethan Mays; and two great-grandchildren: Milo Buxton and Kaden Mays.
Sabrina’s legacy will continue to thrive through her grandchildren, siblings, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
