Sister Rosie L. Vanhorn was born May 12, 1939, in Selma, Alabama, to the late Bank Jones and Mary Hall Jones.
On June 22, 2018, she made her transition to her heavenly home and reunited with her husband, Richard Vanhorn, and her daughter, Debra Williams.
Sister Vanhorn accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at an early age.
She was educated in the Selma City School System and later became a devoted wife and homemaker.
To cherish her memories, she leaves a devoted son: Alan L. Rice (Partheia Rice), Birmingham, Alabama; two sisters: Jessie Lee Cox and Mary Crawford, both of Birmingham, Alabama; two brothers: Bank Jones, Selma, Alabama, and Johnny Jones, California; eight grandchildren: Randy Williams, Brian Williams (Tiffany), Santee Williams, Nyesha Wills, Deante Wills, Alanzandria Rice, Alandriss Rice, and Alysia Rice, all from Birmingham, Alabama; seven great-grandchildren: Briana, Antonio, Jaylen, Brooklyn, Keleb, Mario and Amariah; a host of other relatives and friends.
