Mr. Ned Lee George was born to Mrs. Polly Clark George and Mr. Eddie George on January 29, 1930, in Alberta, Alabama. Later the George family moved to Birmingham, Alabama.
As an adult, he met and married Lela Mae Tillis. To this union Ronald, William (Bo Bo), Sandra, Tony, Michael, Reginald and Kenny.
As a young man he had several jobs. He worked for Lee Rogers Tire Company. He then worked for Jack Cole Trucking Company. He was later transferred to Valdosta, Georgia, with Roadway Trucking Company where he retired.
Ned was a laid back, quiet type man and was easy going by nature.
Ned passed from his earthly home to his Heavenly Home on Saturday, October 12, 2019, as the evening sun went down.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five children, two sisters and one brother.
He leaves to cherish his memories, sons: Ronald Smith, Reginald George and Michael George; daughter: Sandra George; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister: Dorothy Barnett; one special niece: Bobbie Burpo; a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
