Mildred Louise Mitchell was born to the late Mathis and Mary Roberts, on April 10, 1931, in Birmingham, Alabama. She departed this life on Monday, November 20, 2017.

She confessed Christ at an early age and was an active member of the 25th Avenue Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Dr. D. R. Scarber and the present Pastor Lonnie Hughes, Jr., until her health failed. She served faithfully on the #2 Usher Board and the Kitchen Committees. 

She worked many years as a cook for Carraway Hospital and had a home daycare for many children.

Mildred was preceded in death by her children Reynaldo Broadnax, Melvin Roberts, Gwen Luke and Ellen Blackman, brothers Paul Roberts, Henry Roberts and Mathis Roberts.

Cherishing her memories are her daughter Patricia (Jim) Taylor; brothers: Carl Roberts of Fayetteville, GA, and William (Nellie) Roberts of Birmingham, AL; sisters: Kay Cleveland of Riverdale, GA and Christine Roberts of Birmingham, AL; twelve grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, fourteen great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
