Meronica G. Lockett

Mrs. Meronica G. Lockett was born on February 3, 1951, in Birmingham, Alabama, to the late Mr. Meron Golston and Mrs. Hattie Evans Golston.

Meronica was educated in the Birmingham School System and    graduated from Parker High School. She later continued her education at Lawson State Community College, where she received her Nursing Degree and license.

She met and married Mr. Cornelius Hudgins and to this union one son was born. She later met and married Mr. Percy L. Lockett and to this union one daughter was born and a son gained. She was happily married to Mr. Lockett for 40 years until his death.

Mrs. Lockett was preceded in death by both her parents and one brother Mr. Myron Golston.

She leaves to cherish her memories one son: Mr. Vonzell (Kari) Lockett; one daughter: Ms. Ursula Lockett; one grandson: Mr. Ayden Lockett; one brother: Mr. Robert Golston; other relatives and friends.

She was a wonderful daughter, wife and mother. She was also a terrific nurse with a heart of gold and a smile that lit up a room.
