Mary Ella (Miles) Taylor

God blessed our lives with the birth of Mrs. Mary Ella Taylor on December 26, 1926, to the late Mrs. Leana  Miles and Mr. William Henry Miles. "Mrs. Taylor" as she was known to all who knew her, confessed her belief in Christ at an early age and was baptized. She maintained a close relationship with the Lord over the years. She was a member of Christian Valley Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor James Caver.

Mary was a true woman of God who loved the Lord to the fullest. She had an unconditional love for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, other family members and friends. Mary had a caring personality, while expressing her gift of kindness, selflessness and consideration. Mary always had you laughing and she was champion in whipping her daughters in dominoes.

Nevertheless, at the gates of Heaven she was embraced and welcomed. With her predeceased loved ones by her side, she can now rest in paradise.

She will be missed by all who knew and loved her and she leaves to cherish her fulfilled life, her daughters: Bertha Taylor Hall, Debra Owens (Perk), and Diana Sawyer (the late Herman); son: Bobby Taylor, all from Birmingham, Alabama. Also left to cherish her memories, her sister: Queen Esther Frazier from Birmingham, four sisters and two brothers who preceded her in death; 18 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, 21 great-great grandchildren’s along with many lovely nieces, nephews, and friends.
