Mary Louise Johnson

Mary Louise Johnson was called home to be with her Heavenly Father on February 15, 2019 at Princeton Baptist Medical Center.

Mary was the 7th child born to Bertha Mae Poole & Grady Smith on June 26, 1946. She lived in Cordova, Alabama where she was a faithful member of Mount Zion Baptist Church where she sang in the choir until she retired and relocated to Birmingham, Alabama. She was educated in the Cordova School System. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for many years at Cordova Health & Rehabilitation.

Mary was preceded in death by her life partner, Walter Lee Danner II; her oldest son, Steve R. Johnson;  Grandson, Frederick I. Thomas;  Brothers, Jessie Lee Brooks, Pondexter Johnson & Gillis Johnson; Sisters, Francis Price & Bertha Neal Rodgers.

Mary leaves to mourn her loss and cherish her precious memory: Sisters, Diana Bridges (Johnny Ray) & Charlotte Ann Frazier of Detroit, Mich; four loving Daughters, Phyllis McMillian of Irondale, AL, Pamela Rasberry (Daryl) of Detroit, Mich, Lucretia Jordan (Terron) of Birmingham, AL, and Wylean Thomas of Powder Springs, GA; three loving Sons, Derrick Simon (Melinda) of Jasper, AL, Walter Danner III (Raymelda) of Adamsville, AL and Ismail Danner (Rachel) of Carbon Hill, AL; loving Grandsons, Juan Johnson, Marcus Danner , Terry McMillian Jr, Devontae Danner, Derrick Simon Jr, Tymahjion Thomas, Brendan Thomas, Nicholas Danner, Kason Danner, Jonathan Dixon and Brandon Thursby; loving Granddaughters, Sophie Johnson, Taylor Simon, Brittney Triggs, Jessica Bush, Shaniqua Cherry, Destiny Cherry, Marissa Danner, Alexis Danner, Dejiah Thomas, Mathiah Palmore, Great-Grandsons, Great-Granddaughter, Nieces, Nephews and a host of other relatives.
