Marvin Wilkerson

Mr. Marvin “Teenchy” Wilkerson, 79, of Birmingham, Alabama, was called to eternal rest on Wednesday, August 1, 2018, following an extended illness.

He was born July 8, 1939, in Greenville, Alabama, (Butler County). He was the ninth of ten children. He was born to Henry Wilkerson, Sr. and Fannie Lou Womack Wilkerson. He received Christ at an early age at Bragg Hill AME Zion Church, Greenville, Alabama. He received his education in the Butler County School System. He then relocated to Birmingham, Alabama, where he was gainfully employed.

Marvin was preceded in death by his loving parents Henry Wilkerson, Sr. and Fannie Lou Womack Wilkerson and eight siblings: Henry Wilkerson, Jr., Herman Wilkerson, Frank Wilkerson, Fannie Mable Wilkerson Carroll, James Elbert Wilkerson, Carolyn Wilkerson Sanderson, Leodis Wilkerson and Barbara Jean Wilkerson.

He is survived by his daughter: Kimberly Craig; grandchildren: Ariana Robinson and Asia Robinson; a special friend: Mary Craig, sister: Gussie Marie (Amos) Brantley of Jacksonville, North Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
