Marquitta Renee (Shine) Herren

Marquitta Renee Herren “Tiny” was born January 17th, 1974 in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Jacqueline Shine and Grant Hunter Jr. Marquitta gave her life to Christ at an early age, she was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church of Oxmoor, Alabama. She attended the Birmingham city school system and later married the late Eric Herren. 

Marquitta is preceded in death by her mother, Jacqueline Shine, father,  Grant Hunter Jr., and grandmother,  Juanita Hunter.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories to three daughters: Erica, Ania and Jania Herren, one son,  Jacoby Dill, granddaughter, Khalani Renee Sanders along with her loving family members: First cousins:   Rosa Braxton and Maurice Richardson, Cousins: Kay and Shamarion Brown, Cousin, Breana Braxton, Cousin, Tari Williams,  Cousin, Erica Blanks, Uncle, Alfonzo Carter, aunt, Lawanda Hunter, God Sisters: Natosha Kelley Brown & Dionne Givan and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many close friends. 

If you knew “Tiny” you would know she never meet a stranger. Her smile lit up any room, and her personality was always bold and bright. Being around Tiny you were guaranteed laughter, a place to sleep, and some good soul food to eat. Tiny will be deeply missed.
