Lillie Bell Pierce was born February 10, 1942, to Queenie Poston and Clyde Poston, Sr. On that day the Lord blessed her family with a beautiful soul.
Lillie was a devout believer in Jesus Christ and leaned on his word through her good and bad days. Her nurturing spirit allowed her to spread the love instilled in her to her family and friends. She was always an open ear for any person that sought advice, or an uplifting word.
As a graduate from R. R. Moton High School, Lillie married her loving husband Horace Pierce. They traveled together to Oakland, California to embark on a new adventure in the year 1960. It was there that she raised her beautiful family. For many years, she worked for the Oakland United School District as a food service manager. During her employment, she touched many young people with her charismatic personality and good food until she retired home to Alabama. Anywhere she went she brought warmth and love with her. Her legacy will live on as she leaves behind memories to share for a lifetime.
Lillie leaves those precious memories to her loving husband Horace Pierce; her oldest son Horace Aaron Pierce and youngest daughter Pamela D. Pierce-Chancey; her beautiful granddaughters LaShaye Chancey and Ariana Pierce; two brothers: Clyde and Charles Poston; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
