Lillian Deyampert Obituary

Ms. Lillian Deyampert was the fourth child born to Theodore Roosevelt (TR) and Rosezzlar Walker. She was born on February 14, 1934.

Her parents in her death along with her siblings Pearly Mae Chiles, James C. Walker, Elder William L. Walker, Rosie Lee Pearson and Robert Walker.

Ms. Deyampert grew up in Bynum, Alabama, in Calhoun County, where she  graduated from Calhoun County Training School in 1954. She furthered her education by attending Booker T. Washington Business School and Lawson State Community College for one year each. Ms. Deyampert met and married the late George H. Deyampert. They had one child, a beautiful daughter, Rosetta, in 1966.

Ms. “D” as she is called by some of her friends, was a member of Greater Christian Love until 1999, under the leadership of Bishop A. M. Metcalf where she was ordained Elder. In 2000, she joined Christian Love Spiritual Church where she was the Assistant Pastor and also the Sunday School Superintendent under the leadership of Elder Pearl Jackson . In 2009, she was ordained a Bishop by Presiding Bishop Neopolian Priest. She later joined St. Paul Spiritual Church, Bessemer, Alabama, under the leadership of Dr. Vera Watts, Rev. Babbs and Elder Mildred Arrington.

Ms. “D” joined the Titusville Senior Center in 2000. Her hobbies were crocheting, quilting, and cooking. She was crowned “Senior of the Month” in June 2014!!!

To pick up her legacy, she leaves her daughter: Elder Rosetta T. Deyampert; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and the St. Paul Spiritual Church Family.
