Kenneth Lewis Edwards was the Youngest of five boys born to Mr. Lemon Edwards and Mrs. Arwida Edwards on December 19, 1961. He accepted Christ at an early age at Providence Baptist Church in Hooper City, Alabama. Every Sunday you would find Kenneth and his family in church.
He was educated in the Birmingham City School System. From an early age Kenneth liked to work and earn his own money. His strong work ethic was modeled after his father. He was dedicated and learned to be an excellent painter. On Monday morning he was ready to work. Brothers Kenneth, Larry and Jerome worked for Edwards and Sons Painting Company, the family business.
Kenneth had many health issues and was a resident of Health South Rehabilitation Facility. He was a part of that family and would often tease and joke with the ladies. Whatever you would do for Kenneth he made a special phone call to say thanks. Kenneth’s life came to a close on December 30, 2019.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Mr. Boisey and Mrs. Irene Caldwell; parents: Mr. Lemon and Mrs. Arwilda Edwards; and brother: Mr. Larry Edwards.
Those he leaves to cherish his memory are his daughter: Jessica (Robert Ingram) Morris; Six grandchildren: Kenneth, Kimberly, Vincent, Amiyah, Robert, and Bella; Brothers: Jerome (Betty) Edwards, Lemon (Sylvia) Edwards and Kevin Edwards. Kenneth was loved by a host of other relatives and friends. He was known as Uncle Kent.
