Jennetter C. Carnes was born January 19, 1937, to the late Mr. Tommie Carr, Sr. and Mrs. Martha Early Carr.
She accepted Christ at an early age and later joined First Baptist Mountain Park where she served faithfully as Treasurer of the Christian Union Society, member of the Senior Usher Board, and the Missionary Society until her illness. She was very active in her community. She was the backbone of her family. She attended Birmingham City School System and graduated from A. H. Parker High School in 1954. She earned her Nursing Degree from Birmingham School of Nursing and served for 39 years as loving and caring Nurse at St. Vincent's Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her brothers Tommie Carr, Jr. and Benjamin Carr, sisters Annie Ruth Thomas, Helen Marie Wood, Dorothy Palmer and Claudette C. Carr.
She leaves to cherish her memories two loving and devoted sisters: Luvenia Carr and Jimmie Lee Crochen (Cookie) both of Palmdate, California; daughters: Darlene Y. Davis and Roslyn B. Monroe (James); son: Theodis A. Bitten (Theresa); grandchildren: Andre D. Bitten ( Latanya), Richetta Clayton Jones, Nakia S. Bitten, Monica S. Bitten, Kimberly Davis, Mollena Davis, Jeremiah Davis and a host of great grandchildren and other relatives; three special friends: Mrs. Hattie Thomas, Debra Wells, and Patricia Manuel.
