Mr. Henry L. Swain was born  on February 25, 1964, to the late Mr. Henry L.  and Mrs. Lillie E. Swain. He was the first of six children born to this union.

Henry gave his life to Christ at an early age at Leeds A.O.H. Church of God in Jefferson County, Alabama.

Henry met and united in holy matrimony to Erica Curry on September 30, 1998.

He worked numerous jobs. But it was his love of cooking that led him to open up his own restaurant in Leeds, Alabama, in 2002,  called Dobie’s Soul Food.

He was a loving father, a devoted husband, and a genuine friend. He received God’s free gift of eternal life on November 19, 2017, and is now rejoicing with the many loved ones preceding him in death

While celebrating his homegoing, his memories will forever be cherished by his loving family; his wife: Erica Curry Swain; two sons: Johnathan (Nicole) Duke and Damon Smith; one daughter; Breanna Thomas; one granddaughter, Maleah Duke; one brother: Charles (Sheilda) Swain; four loving sisters: Angela Swain (fiancé Cardell), Lillian (Vaness) Ackey, Melissa (Charlie) Copeland, and Stephany (Bryan) Jacks; two loving aunts: Claudean (Clifford) Hill, and Julia Iverson; a wonderful and loving mother and father-in-law: Pamela (Robert) Curry; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
