Ms. Chester is survived by two daughters: Shalicia Chester (33) and Annjenette Taylor (30); her grandkids: Gary M. H. Chester (18), Monesha L. Drake (15), Akeelah King (11), Javiyeen L. Taylor (9) and Darwyn J. Taylor (3); ex-husband: Gary Chester; and a host of sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews.
