Mrs. Amanda Brown was born the third oldest of eight siblings, to Ms. Katy Walls on October 19, 1931, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
She was educated in the Tuscaloosa City School System and attended Druid High School. After many years of service in the environmental department, she retired from St. Vincent’s Hospital.
She enjoyed cooking and watching soap operas in her leisure time when she was not at work.
Amanda was preceded in death by her mother, Katy Walls and five siblings: Dorothy Singleton, Mary Wright, Eris Walls, Vernon Walls, Jr. and Sonny Walls.
She leaves too cherish her memories her dedicated son: Johnny Brown; two sisters: Rose Walls and Shirley Walls; two granddaughters: Jacqueline Brown and Juanita Sarter; great-grandchildren: Isaiah Brown, Zoeronda Brown and Densia Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
