Rev. Thomas Richard Prince, Sr. was born to the late Mr. Wyatt Prince and Mrs. Parthinia Crawley Prince on December 4, 1941, in Uniontown, Alabama. He attended the Perry County School System.
Thomas was affectionately known by many as "Bubba".
Thomas was an ordained minister and an avid gardener. He had such a green thumb that his garden grew during the time of a drought and drew spectators from across the country.
He was united in holy matrimony to Betty Jean Henderson on January 16, 1977.
Thomas departed this life on Monday, April 2, 2018, at his home surrounded by family and friends. He will forever live in the hearts and minds of those whose lives he touched.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Betty J. Prince, his children, Brenston M. Prince, Jimmy Thomas and Tesha S. Johnson, his brother, James Prince, his sisters, Susie M. Kelly, Laura Ann Soles, Blanche P. Agee, Evelyn P. Wiggins, and Brenda J. Prince, his mother-in-law, Leslie Henderson and his father-in-law, John C. Fair.
Thomas leaves to cherish his loving memories: Seven Children - daughters, Teshucka P. Moreland (Derrius), Tesa L. Merriweather (LeRoy) and LaVonia Thomas, sons, Thomas Richard Prince, Jr., Renston C. Prince (Georgiana), LaDarick C. Thomas (Kimberly), and Timmy Thomas (Pamela), 53 (fifty-three) grandchildren, 9 (nine) of which they raised as their own children, Juanderrin Timone' Fields (Jasmine), Takilan Prince, Jakalan Prince, Wyatt Prince, Jammez Prince, Jenniah D. .Prince, KeDarius Moore, Elijah Ross and Antonio Canady, Jr., 25 (twenty-five) great grandchildren, brothers, Edward Prince, Cleophus Prince, Sr. (Valerie), and Arsolar Prince (Donna), sisters, Shirley P. Essix and Vera P. Davis (Calvin), brother-in-law, Michael Henderson (Regina), a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
