Rena Mae Wren was born in Bessemer, AL on November 20, 1948 to Robert and Willie C Wren, Sr. She was the first daughter born to this union.

She made her confession to Christ at an early age,  at Friendship Baptist Church in Bessemer, AL; under the leadership of Rev. Spencer Taylor. Rena graduated from Carver High School in Bessemer, AL in the year of 1967. Upon graduating from Carver High School, she attended Lawson State Community College and studied Cosmetology. She later  moved to Cleveland, OH,where she was employed by the Cleveland Browns. 

Everyone that knew Rena Wren knew how outgoing she was. She was always the life of the party and kept a smile on your face. She loved spending time with family and friends and absolutely loved talking on the phone; and will wake you up at the crack of dawn. She loved WWEMonday & Tuesday night wrestling, Western Shows and most definitely could not miss her favorite Soap Opera Days of Our Lives.

Rena was preceded in death by her grandmother Bessie Mae Ray, mother, Willie C. Wren, father, Robert Wren, Sr., 1 brother, Nathaniel Wren, and 2 nephews, Walter Wren, Jr., and Cornelius Wren.

She transitioned to her Heavenly Father on January 9, 2018. She leaves to cherish her precious memory,  2 daughters: Tonicinia Wren and Qua’Terrace Letrice Moody, 1 son; Raymundo D. Wren; 6 sisters: Veldina Arms of Birmingham, AL; Earlene Sanders of Birmingham, AL; Carolyn Lawson of Antioch, TN; Debra Person of Birmingham, AL; Bessie M. Shaw of Bessemer, AL; Prynce Ella Wren of Birmingham, AL; 4 brothers: Walter (Ethel) Wren of Birmingham, AL; Robert (Polly) Wren, Jr., of Atlanta, GA; Jesse Wren of Pensacola, FL; and Darryl Wren of Cleveland, OH; 4 granddaughters: Vinneissa S. Wren of Fairfield, AL; Vianca S. Williams of Boston, MA; Aria R. Moody-Hill of Romulus, MI and Rylen D. Wren of Cleveland, OH; 4 sisters-in-love: Onetha Green of Bessemer, AL; Wanda (Marquie) Rollins of Bessemer, AL; Willodean Young of Bessemer, AL and Louise Franklin of Atlanta, GA; 1 brother-in-law Douglas Ware of Bessemer, AL; Special friend Aja Browder and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and classmates.
